Wow, nice chapter to move the plot forward. It’s interesting seeing the differences in Tamaru and Ryo. Ryo straight up got rejected but he kept pursuing Ichika in getting gifts for her, calling her, and spending time with her. He literally fell in love for Ichika and man did he fall hard.
Tamaru just did like a few favors for Ichika and he thinks he’ll win her over like that? I kind of feel sorry for the guy. I mean look at who he is competing with. There is no competition. Ichika basically friend-zoned him and this is after she hugged Ryo that morning and was super embarrassed about it. I think Ichika has already made her choice (Ryo), even if it’s just subconsciously.
On the other hand, I love Arietty cause she’s such a dork (like me)! I’m glad that she is not afraid to stand up for what she wants and it’s so kind of Ryo to accept chocolates from her. Ichika already gave him the best gift 😏 and she really did turn his world upside down.
All in all, I enjoy what these two characters, Tamaru and Arietty, bring to the table. They braved it and conveyed their feelings. How many of us can do that in real life? This will only bring our OTP closer to each other. Sorry for the rant but thanks if you made it this far. Thank you translators for brightening our day through Koikimo!

Tomaru rejected Ichika chocolate because “I WANT ROMANTIC CHOCOLATE NO COURTESY ONES BUAH BUAH”. Also Ichika reaction even after the confession(rejected in the spot) and in her house thinking about Tomaru confession are only more holes in Tomaru already sinking ship. Yep Tomaru is gonna loose.
